5SHY4045L0004 is a wind turbine semiconductor traction converter.
It features ABB's SPT (Soft pass through) chipsets, including SPT+ and SPT++ versions, which have
the highest output power and moderate chip shrinkage, thus having a larger chip area at 1200V and 1700V voltages.
The 1700V SPT++ chipset is the world's first 1700V chipset with an operating connection temperature
of up to 175°C, allowing module designers to increase the power density of IGBT modules. This makes
it particularly suitable for traction, wind turbine converters, and other renewable energy, industrial drives, and power electronics.
The 5SHY4045L0004 also features an analog output module, including analog outputs from AO1 to AO4,
with an output range of 0/4 to 20mA, configurable and factory set to 4 to 20mA. These analog outputs
are universal negative, isolated from ground electricity, freely connected to ground, and have a maximum gain of 50V relative to the protective ground potential.
