The Bentley Nevada 3500/22M Data Interface Module is the interface software between the 3500 monitoring system and compatible systems (System 1* condition monitoring and diagnostic software and 3500 system configuration software). This TDI combines the capabilities of 3500/20 Rack Interface Module (RIM) with the data acquisition capabilities of communication processors such as TDXnet.
The TDI is located in a slot near the power supply in the rack 3500. It continuously collects steady-state and transient dynamic (waveform) data with M-series displays (3500/40M, 3500/42M, etc.) and passes this data to the Ethernet link with the host software. For more information, see the "Compatibility" section at the end of this document.
Static data capture is standard in TDI. However, enabling the disk with an optional channel will allow TDI to also be used to capture dynamic and high-resolution transient data. The TDI contains a communication processor running in 3500 racks.
Although TDI provides certain functions common to the entire rack, it is not a critical monitoring path and has no impact on the normal and normal operation of the entire monitoring system, which automatically protects the machinery. One TDI or RIM is required for every 3500 racks, and they always occupy slot 1 (near the power supply).
