The 288055-01 Transient Data Interface (TDI) module is a high-performance data acquisition and monitoring device designed for use with 3500 monitoring systems. The module combines the functionality of a 3500/20 

Framework Interface Module (RIM) with communication data collection capabilities such as those found in processors such as TDXnet.

In 3500 racks, the TDI is located in a slot adjacent to the power supply and is primarily used to continuously collect steady-state and transient dynamic (waveform) data and transfer this data to the host software over an

 Ethernet link. This capability makes TDI a critical tool for device condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. In addition, TDI not only has traditional static data collection capabilities, but also enables the use of optional

 channel enabled disks to record dynamic, high-resolution transient data, providing more detailed and in-depth information about device operation.
