　　The IC693BPM200 is a Profibus master module that is part of the 90-30 series controller platform, formerly from GE Fanuc and now acquired by Emerson Automation. This module is an optional communication module that supports Profibus communication protocol. It comes with one (1) Profibus Master port that supports communication with the Profibus network in a Daisy chain topology, and another RS232 service port that can be used to download configurations and firmware upgrades.

　　The IC693BPM200 is a single-slot module that can be installed on CPU backboards, extensions, or remote backboards. It supports communication of up to 125 Profibus DP slaves, enabling remote I/O architectures and communication with other devices such as gateways, Hmis, SCADA, and others. For remote I/O functions, each Profibus slave station is capable of receiving 244 bytes of input data and sending 244 bytes of output data. It supports sync and freeze configurations and can be configured for all Profibus standard transfer rates from 9600 Kbaud to 12MBaud. It follows a Daisy chain topology, as the protocol is derived from the RS485 electrical standard, and its two ends (especially node 1 and the last node of the network) are closed by terminal resistors. It also comes with SYS and COM status leds for describing active communication and device operation.
