<P> The IC698CPE030 is one of the most
advanced central processing units (cpus) in the Programmable Automation
Controller (PAC) PACSystem RX7i. The CPU is designed to meet the modern
automation, connectivity and integration requirements of the industry. It was
previously manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms (GE IP), but with its recent
acquisition by Emerson Automation, PACSystem RX7i is now part of the
latter.</P>
<P> The IC698CPE030 processor is equipped with a
computer-grade microprocessor, namely a 600MHz Pentium-M microprocessor, with 64
MB of user memory and 64 MB of user flash memory. It has a Boolean execution
speed of 0.069 milliseconds per 1000 Boolean contacts/coils. The CPU can hold up
to 32K bits of discrete I/O and 32K words of analog I/O, and up to 512 blocks
can be downloaded to the CPU, where each block can have up to 128 KB of
memory.</P>

communication ports that automatically sense network transmission speeds and can
be configured for both half-duplex and full-duplex operating modes. The built-in
