The MVME5100 is a VMEbus computer module.
It uses an integrated PCI brided memory controller ASIC designed by MOTOROLA to deliver memory read bandwidth
of up to 582MB/s and burst write bandwidth of 640MB/s, enabling ultra-high computing level performance.
In addition, the module supports a full PCI throughput of 264MB/s without running out of memory on the processor.
The MVME5100 series offers a variety of processor options, including MPC7410, MPC750, and MPC755 class microprocessors,
with 32KB of first-level cache. It also offers up to 2MB of secondary back-end cache and 100MHz front-end bus. In terms of
memory, the MVME5100 is equipped with up to 512MB of on-board ECC SDRAM and can be expanded up to 500GB with the
optional RAM1 memory expansion module. In addition, it offers 17MB of flash memory and dual IEEE P1386.1-compatible 32/64-bit PMC expansion slots.
