The 1747-ASB is a remote I/O (input/output) adapter module in the SLC 500 series Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCS). The main function of this module is to introduce remote digital and 

analog I/O signals into SLC 500 series PLC controllers, or to transmit PLC controller I/O signals to remote locations. This provides users with the ability to transmit control signals to distant devices
