The FCP280 is a fieldbus module and controller designed for industrial automation control systems.

This device provides a control and Ethernet/serial interface between single - or dual-port PLCS, drivers and other distributed control devices and the EcoStruxure Foxboro DCS. 

The FCP280 optimizes the integration of control devices such as PLCS, increasing flexibility while minimizing systems engineering, footprint, and cost.

The FCP280 controller uses 128MB SDRAM memory and 128MB flash memory, supports up to 128 FBM cards, and can implement a variety of control functions, such as conventional 

continuous control, ladder logic control, sequence control, and batch processing. It has control block execution speeds of up to 16,000 function blocks per second and can configure 

up to 8,000 control modules. In addition, the FCP280 can be configured according to the requirements of the functional block scan cycle, providing a variety of options to meet the 

needs of different applications.

FCP280 can replace FCP270 or ZCP270, providing improved performance and block processing power. For compatibility and minimal configuration time, it can import the CP database 

from the CP270 that is being replaced. The FCP280 does not require FEM100 hardware during the replacement process and is the same size as the FCP270 for easy replacement.
